LET Reviewer: How to Pass any Kind of Exam

DEAR STUDENT:
HERE IS MY STUDY GUIDE IN PREPARING FOR ANY KIND OF EXAM (I have used this tips in passing my Nursing and Teacher board exam both single take)
(Particularly to those who are easily distracted)
This is not an ULTIMATE GUIDE and do not claim 100% SUCCESS. This may or may NOT be applicable to all. Trial period is required ðŸ˜‚. If you are okay with your current study habit and you're doing good with it, please don't burden yourself changing your routine. The perfect technique to effective review is dictated by no other than YOU.
1. RESPECT YOUR BODY- it will command you of what to do. I do not force myself to study when I am tired and sleepy, angry, not in the mood or hungry. If I feel sleepy, I will rest. if I am hungry, I munch on something healthy. your body will not give you what you aim to have if you are not giving what it needs for it to function well.
2. KILL DISTRACTORS- it is very difficult to get the mood to study. once you have that opportunity and momentum, you have to grab that chance to focus. do not ruin it. get away from any kind of distraction like gadgets and favorites. you have to inform your family and friends that you will be out of reach for a moment before you will be unavailable. I refrain going to a friends house to review, we might end up chit chatting. My phone is either shut down or on flight mode. If you are a gamer, please refer to number 4.
3. NO TO COMFORTABLE PLACES- there is a difference between comfortable and conducive environment to study. Look for a place you know you will rarely doze off so that your focus will not be divided to either sleep or review. I do not review in my room or anywhere where there is a foam I can sleep on. I rarely review at home because I might end up doing the household chores or watch movies. I usually go to open spaces like park or restaurant. Public library or outside churches.
4. PRIZE AND PASSWORDS - This maybe is silly but for me is effective. after review, I usually jot down things I remember and important details. If I am able to recall 3/4 of it. I will give myself some prizes like extra snacks or a peep on my social media account or play games. PASSWORDS can also be effective. before I enter my room, there is a 25 items posted on my door that I have to answer correctly before opening my door. I change the items depending on my mastery but i recycle them when necessary. Before I open my fridge to get some snacks, there are 20 items that I have to answer too...(you can put passwords to commonly used items)
5. MOTIVATION- i always carry a wallet size family picture with me. Whenever I am on review mode, I need to place that picture where it is visible to me at any angle possible... It feels like my love ones are cheering me on, watching me win the exam. I daydream, seeing myself passing the exam. Planning how will I surprise my family that I passed the exam. If you want it! GET IT YOURSELF. No ones else would hand over your dream in an instant.
6. MIND YOUR OWN ROUTINE- Stop comparing yourself with the rest. Stop comparing your scores to others. They havn themselves responsible in monitoring their own scores. Instead, Keep a tracker of your own progress and create a checklist of the topics you are worried about.

7. KNOW YOURSELF- you have to know what kind of learner are you so that when you invest on review materials, it will be worth it. If you are a visual learner, it's worth to keep some sticky notes and charts. However, if you are auditory, I suggest that when you do your review, say it loud and record it with your phone so that you can listen to it anytime it is convenient for you. If you are tactile learner, I suggest that you download apps where you can navigate and perform.
8. CHOOSE YOUR PEOPLE- the greatest gift you can give to yourself during review time is a good and considerate companion. choose people who has the same aim as you. Who are positive enough to pass the exam. Stay away from SMART SHAMERS and people who are too confident of themselves without putting too much effort. Learn to say "NO" on invitations that will steal your review time.
9. DON'T RUSH - so start as early as NOW! review by small chunks of important details. Do not attempt to fit main topics in one seating. Take time to breath and allow your brain to digest the infos you got from those tidibits of details. Always check on the deadling and create a good pace of when to review and when to relax...
10. DON'T TRUST YOUR MEMORY TOO MUCH - not because you remember it today means that you will remember it on the BIG DAY! The neurons will trash out information that are rarely use. it is a defense mechanism of the brain to adopt new mostly use information. Thus, RECALLING IS A MUST. Always have time to go back to your previews topic. Before you start a new chapter, make sure to associate the old one with the new. Don't let those details be idle for so long. You dont want to experience the feeling of "you know you've read that topic and where it was written but you dont know the exact word"
11. CONSISTENCY - commonly missed and I am guilty with it!!! People are good with impressive review plan that suddenly declines through time... they got lazy, bored, distracted, and so on! No matter how great your resources are if they aren't used, USELESS. No matter how perfect your review schedule is, if not followed, USELESS. You have to be consistent. Respect your plan and be man enough to put it into action.
12. FAITH AND PRAYERS - Everything from 1 to 11, put your FAITH in between... I am not a religeous person but I know by heart that there is GOD who will always have the final verdict of all effort you've put on aiming your goal. PRAYER should be paired with EFFORT.
EFFORT without PRAYER is EMPTY.
